Scandinavian or Nordic decor is full of natural light, love to nature, everything simple and very “lagom” a Swedish concept, which means having enough of everything. Enough means you won\u2019t see any excessive colors, textures and crazy touches here \u2013 only what\u2019s relevant. Our focus was how to design such a kids\u2019 room to make it cozy, welcoming and not too boring!<\/div>\n

Traditional Scandinavian colors are black, white and grey and they always compose a cool combo, which still may seem a bit cold. As it\u2019s a kids\u2019 room, we should make the space more fun and cozy, and cold looks aren\u2019t a good idea.<\/div>\n
Refresh the traditional colors with something pastel or muted colors to make the space more cheerful, whimsical and childish. If you don\u2019t want to add colors, it is always a good ideea to go with \u2013 stripes, stars, polka dots and others patterns that your children like. Warm up the space with wood and plywood, with faux fur to make it look inviting.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
The first rule of Scandinavian interiors is that it makes extensive use of natural materials for its furnishings. Such as Wood, Brass, Jute, Rattan, Bamboo, etc. These are great materials to use in your kids\u2019 room apart from just being for decor purposes. Using more natural materials would make your kids feel close to nature.<\/div>\n

Focusing on quality over quantity and prioritising clean, clutter free places, Scandinavian design promotes calming and focused spaces which lots of parents want to incorporate into their kids\u2019 rooms. Scandinavian design encourages children to focus on different parts of the room, one at a time, while helping to create a soothing atmosphere that children can rest, grow and play in.<\/div>\n
